TEDxGCU 2020
Main Event
For the 2019-20 school year, I served as a Director of the Operations team. I oversaw a team of six students to plan and execute the Preview and Main TEDxGrandCanyonUniversity events. This specific year's event, themed In Plain Sight, was declared the best TEDxGrandCanyonUniversity Event yet, because of outstanding operational and production efforts by attendees and team members alike.
Through this experience I:
-
Completed over 150 hours of Project Management experience
-
Logistically planned and executed the TEDxGCU conference event
-
Created meeting agendas, team member manuals, budgets, and various minute by minute schedules
-
Secured sponsorships which were valued at over $4,000
The sold-out event featured 6 speakers and 2 performers to share ideas worth spreading.

TEDxGCU 2019
In the 2018-19 school year, I served as a team member on the Event Planning team. This video showcases some of the highlights from both the Preview Event, which serves to introduce the speakers to the public, and the Main Event which also includes a VIP Dinner and intermission Village experience. The first 13 seconds of the video feature footage from the Preview Event and the remainder of the video showcases the Main Event.
TEDxGCU 2018 Main Event
This video exhibits the TEDxGCU Main Event in 2018, which had a theme of Magnum Opus. The footage from outside displays the Village and VIP Dinner experience, and the theater footage captures highlights from the talks and performances.
TEDxGCU 2018 Preview Event
The TEDxGCU Preview Event from 2018 was hosted by the Dean of the Colangelo College of Business, Randy Gibb, at The Newton in Central Phoenix. This fully student-run and planned event came together with excellence as it built up excitement for the Main Event which proceeded about a month later.
Community Gatherings
As a Resident Assistant at Grand Canyon Univerity, I hosted Community Gatherings twice a month. A Community Gathering is an event that facilitates community within dormitories, while also often applying applicable life skills and learning. Events were most often planned for about 20-50 residents, but twice a semester All Building Events were planned for around 500 students. Some of the flyers used to market the events are displayed below.
